Switchboard, a Christian non-profit software startup, has launched a platform that allows everyday believers to connect with missionaries in the field using their skills, talents and experience.
This workshop is a facilitated time to discover how we each have something unique to bring to the Great Commission.
At the end our hope is people will discover how they can personally connect with a missionary in the field.

- The world has changed
- The mission field is more accessible than ever
- You have a role to play.
- Many believers want to make a difference but struggle to find opportunities for Great Commission engagement.
- It doesn't have to be that way.
- An organization called Switchboard is working to connect people like you to Great Commission opportunities and impact around the world.
- God has designed you for purpose, and today, we’re spending time exploring what that might look like.
- This workshop will help you identify your interests, your talents and your kingdom convictions.
[5] Interests
- What do you care about? What are your passions? What do you love to talk about with others?
- This could be hobbies or areas of interest, or a particular area of the world.
- Give yourself plenty of time as you write in the red circle below your ideas, interests and passions. Don’t self-edit as you use the space to explore and let the ideas come to you.
[5] Talents
- What are you good at doing? In what areas do others ask for your help? Where might someone say you have expertise?
- Think about your skills, experience or education.
- This isn't a moment for false humility. If you're good at something, just write it in the blue circle.
[5] Kingdom Convictions
- Where do you pray Jesus's kingdom comes?
- Our world is broken, and all around, we see gaps between what is today and what will be when all is made right.
- What are the gaps you feel strongly convicted about? Write it in the yellow circle.
[5] Synthesis
- As you Look over what you have written in the three circles, what has emerged?
- Ask the Lord to draw your attention to specific parts of each circle. As he does, underline or circle them.
- Do any common themes emerge? If so, write them in the center.
- It's ok if no single thing rises above the rest. Look at what you have written and let it guide your prayer time in the coming weeks, asking the Lord to show you opportunities and what role you might play in the story he is writing.
